ABCorp to Launch EGA Manufacturing With HP Multi Jet Fusion Technology

ABCorp (American Banknote Corporation), one of the leading manufacturing service providers in the United States., has recently declared the expansion of their Center of Excellence. The opening of the company’s new Additive Manufacturing Center at the site compliments the offering of highly bespoke and secure contract manufacturing for the authentication, access, and payments sectors.  American Banknote Corporation has expressed excitement at collaborating with HP and is introducing both enterprise-scale production and prototyping to the area via HP's cutting-edge Multi Jet Fusion technology.

The Additive Manufacturing Center is situated within ABCorp's 125,000 sq. ft.  state-of-the-art, highly secure facility, and is completely powered by HP Jet Fusion 580 full-color 3D printers and HP Jet Fusion 5210 industrial systems, along with the latest generation of high finishing capabilities. The new center offers prototyping, high end -volume production capacity along with design, with the flexibility of base materials from BASF and HP. With the launch, American Banknote Corporation delivers additive manufacturing solutions effortlessly capable of producing more than 220,000 production components per week. 

Speaking on which, William Brown, ABCorp CEO and Chairman said American Banknote Corporation has a track record of more than two centuries, providing critical goods and services to world-class organizations and local federal, state government agencies in 120-plus countries around the globe. Civic duty is at their core, and in February 2020 , at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, they re-directed resources in their Boston facility to make and provide debit cards to help and support state unemployment programs and  face shields ( part of PPE ) for front line workers during the tough times. 

The decision, provided by their partners at HP, had the fortuitous result of educating them about the world of 3D printing. The company is pleased to expand its existing collaboration with HP into this new field and launch the world’s first ever enterprise-grade useful additive manufacturing platform, he further added.

Moreover he said that they could not have selected  a better version of product extension or partner in HP to establish their  expertise in bespoke contract manufacturing and highly secure print . This initiative not just broadens their product offering for existing clients, but also reaches into new industries  under ABCorp.
