In fact, after evaluating HLA typing results associated with next-generation sequencing based, one of the leading giants in NGS HLA typing transplantation and sequencing-based typing, based in Netherlands, GenDx signed an agreement with one of the well-known behemoths in HLA typing for transplant market, Thermo Fisher Scientific, to provide Ion PGM and NGSengine software to customers. The aforementioned detail validates that heavy investments in R&D activities to enhance existing technology will indeed fuel HLA typing for transplant industry share.
