Currently, point-of-care or near-patient diagnostics are being expansively commercialized for use in settings where timing is critical or resources are limited (in developing countries), medical facilities are distant or non-existent.

The POC/NP approach deliver prompt treatments while significantly reducing expenditures in medical care and are therefore anticipated to witness exponential growth over the forecast timeline.
