itelligence acquires ISS Consulting to expand Thailand operations

Leading SAP Partner itelligence AG has recently confirmed that it has reached and agreement with ISS Consulting (Thailand) Ltd. to acquire the Bangkok-based company, which is a prominent SAP service provider in Thailand.

Citing sources familiar with the matter, ISS Consulting has an established reputation in Thailand owing to its proven expertise in SAP consulting. By acquiring the company, itelligence has further expanded its market penetration not only in Thailand but in Southeast Asia.

itelligence CEO and President and CEO of NTT DATA Business Solutions, Norbert Rotter said the new partnership holds considerable strategic importance for the company. They are entering Thailand for leveraging a strong and rapidly growing SAP market and the investment in ISS Consulting shows the company’s commitment towards becoming a leading provider of SAP services in Asia Pacific, he remarked.

Rotter added that the substantial industry knowledge of ISS consulting in the automotive supplier, manufacturing and food sectors has made it an ideal fit for itelligence group.

Reportedly, ISS consulting is focused on the retail, food & beverage and manufacturing sectors in Thailand, employing around 250 people and specializing C/4 HANA, S/4 HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP HANA Cloud and SAP Business By Design, among others.

NTT DATA Business Solutions CEO for APAC, Sharath Burla stated that Southeast Asian customers will now be able to enjoy a better access to outstanding expertise in SAP, which will eventually be reflected in jointly development innovative systems. Companies particularly benefiting from this partnership would be Japanese and other multinational corporations based or producing in Thailand.

According to Burla, this deal will help create substantial cross-selling potential for NTT DATA Business Solutions and ISS Consulting. Simultaneously, ISS Consulting would be gaining access to the global innovation network of NTT DATA and itelligence. Another advantage of this acquisition will be the strengthen of the partnership between itelligence and SAP Thailand, along with SAP Asia-Pacific in general, Burla indicated.
