Krispy Kreme remodels its stores with extra sweet menu after a decade

The company redesigns the store for the first time in over a span of ten years making the menu even more sweet and savory.

The 82-year-old doughnut company, Krispy Kreme has debuted its remodeled store and looks forward to welcoming a new and even sweeter and sugary menu in the house after a decade now. The company unleashed its first detailed store revamped recently in Concord, North Carolina.

The newly made store features a blend of various ingredients and elements resulting into the savory items like the doughnut filled ice cream, milkshakes and a tailored topping station for the glazed doughnuts which will allow the customers to enjoy the doughnuts in their own way.

The new store, which is framed with a stylistic wink logo in the exterior, is claimed to include an enhanced 'doughnut theatre experience' which would allow the customers to witness the doughnut making process, lighted doughnut display cases and digital menu stations.

The idea of redesigning the store emerged after a rival company, Dunkin Donuts' introduced an advanced store adding new items into its menu to attract more consumers. Reportedly, Dunkin's initiative towards the re-designing proved to be a success increasing its sales by 2.4% in the first quarter of 2019.

Adding to the improvements in the menu and store, new customer service enhancements have also been made by the company to cater to consumer needs. This includes online ordering, delivery, in-shop self-service pickup, parking for take away, an expanded drive-thru and digital order confirmation.

The doughnut chain company has reportedly planned to open about 450 shops all over the globe by 2022 with about 45 shops in the US itself by 2020.The company will also remodel its 350 stores in the US region.

Headquartered in North Carolina, United States, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Incorporation is an American doughnut company and coffee house chain which is currently owned by the parent company JAB Holding Company.
