Sony announces introduction of PlayStation’s new State of Play videos

Sony has recently confirmed the official launch of its State of Play videos for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR platforms in the market.

It is apparently a new video program for the PlayStation 4 and VR which will feature gameplay footage, new trailers as well as announcements and updates for new games.

Sources familiar with the matter informed that the first episode will be released on 25th March in which it would be showcasing new titles of PlayStation VR and PlayStation 4, including gameplay footage, game announcements, and new trailers.

Some of the games of PlayStation 4 are expected to be a part of the first State of Play, such as The Last of Us Part II, Days Gone, Death Stranding, and Ghost of Tsushima.

Reports indicate that the owners of PlayStation VR and PlayStation 4 who are showing interest in watching the debut of State of Play may stream it on the official channels of PlayStation on YouTube and Twitch or through the official accounts of PlayStation on Facebook and Twitter.

For those who would not be able to watch these episodes live, it will be uploaded to these platforms after the completion of the episode.

Seemingly, Sony is not presenting at E3 2019, which signifies that for the very first time, PlayStation will not have its existence at the annual video game event, but it will likely release another State of Play at the time of E3 2019 to keep pace with competitors’ updates. Further details regarding overall format of State of Play were not yet disclosed.

Sources commented that Sony’s new program is being compared to Inside Xbox and Nintendo Direct and it has been seen over years that its competitors take a similar approach in the field of games. The company further indicates that the State of Play will return throughout the year with more new updates.
