World Energy Council and EY partner on energy innovation and insights

The World Energy Council has recently announced that they are collaborating with EY, a multinational consultant company, on innovations in energy and the 24th World Energy Congress, which is supposed to be held between 9 September to 12 of September 2019 in Abu Dhabi, where EY will provide a platinum sponsorship.

Apparently, EY will be playing a key role by offering thought and insights on leadership and issues that the industry faces like identifying opportunities and implications, help delegates to anticipate the market trends and apply the latest technology and innovative thinking.

UAE Organizing Committee’s chairman and Undersecretary at the UAE Ministry of Energy & Industry, His Excellency Dr. Matar Al Neyadi stated that EY has already established itself in the energy market as a thought-leader owing to their knowledgeable and large team of professionals with substantial experience in the industry.

It will be an excellent opportunity for all the delegates present to get an understanding and knowledge of how the future challenges can be dealt with, Dr. Al Neyadi added.

CEO and Secretary General at World Energy Council, Christopher Frei said that the collaboration aims to promote innovations associated with energy transition, that leverages EY’s deep business and industry expertise as well as the extensive global network and neutral positioning of thought leadership of the Council.

EY and the Council will be working together in order to shape actionable insights which will inform the energy leaders about how emerging technology and innovation will contribute in the transformation of the energy sector, Frei informed.

EY Global Energy Leader, Benoit Laclau said that EY is looking forward to sponsoring the 24th World Energy Congress and partner with the Council to be able to support and promote innovation. It is important for the energy industry to embrace innovation and explore new technologies as the energy system in the future is going to be extremely different than what it is today, he commented.
