Atos acquires AI-powered video analytics software provider Ipsotek

French multinational information technology service and consulting company Atos has reportedly completed the acquisition of Ipsotek, a leader in AI-powered video analytics solutions.

This acquisition will empower Atos to strategically fortify its prominent position in Edge AI and Computer Vision by expanding its portfolio with key software capabilities and IP to present an exclusive offering to users across various sectors.

Atos’ vast range of solutions, from infrastructure to AI/ML professional services, has enabled the company to become a major player in Edge AI/ML space, particularly Edge Vision. In fact, in 2020, Gartner, a global research and advisory firm, named Atos as an Edge AI Tech Innovator, cited credible sources.

With the recent acquisition, Atos will continue to develop its expertise and novelty in this sector by including over 50 expert professionals with key capabilities in AI-enabled video analytics solutions for mission-critical solutions.
