EA SPORTS & LaLiga ink deal to bring new experiences for LaLiga fans

Video gaming giant, Electronic Arts Inc. (EA), and leading football league, LaLiga, have reportedly announced a multi-year, one-of-a-kind, partnership that would allow both players to bring ground-breaking experiences to football fans across the globe.

As per reports, starting the 2023-2024 LaLiga season, the collaboration between LaLiga and EA SPORTS FC™ would include rights to title naming for all of the LaLiga tournaments, a complete LaLiga rebrand with EA SPORTS, which includes all graphics, logos, visual elements, and also fonts.

The team-up would also deliver broadcast highlights, novel in-game integration, and joint commitments that support the grassroots initiatives.

The new collaboration would encompass both the first and second LaLiga divisions, LaLiga Promises, the annual youth tournament of the league, and eLaLiga.

EA SPORTS FC, VP Brand, David Jackson, stated that EA SPORTS FC strives to deliver the most immersive and authentic experiences in the world of football. The firm’s innovative collaboration with LaLiga further augments that ambition and consolidates both enterprises' position at the heart of the global football culture.

Jackson further stated that the visible scale and reach of the new collaboration is highly thrilling, so is the opportunity to bring incredible experiences to football fans through interactive entertainment, in-game innovation, and grassroots initiatives.

EA SPORTS FC SVP & GM, Nick Wlodyka, stated that EA is thrilled to team up with a global leader in the field of football to better connect the fans to the players, clubs, and LaLiga competitions of their liking.

Wlodyka further stated that the contributions from the company’s EA SPORTS FC portfolio and LaLiga would be substantial, not just from a visual aspect, but from the viewpoint of game development and technological improvements as well, effectively blurring the proverbial lines between the virtual and real worlds of football.

Reports cite, additional details of the new partnership would be shared over the forthcoming months. Moreover, further information on the EA SPORTS FC products would be made available in the Summer of 2023.
