Festivals in India are a key point of market growth for companies. The festive season attracts a lot of companies to invest in various market landscapes of the country, particularly multinational and foreign companies. This further leads to various collaborations between foreign companies and Indian firms to bring forth a growth in their sales and reach out to a greater number of potential customers.

Flipkart, an e-commerce company headquartered in Bengaluru, India, reportedly announced a collaboration of its independent value platform 2GUD with MINISO India, the Indian arm of Japanese designer consumer product firm, ahead of India’s oncoming festive season.

Flipkart stated that the collaboration deal provides 2GUD online deployment rights for products of MINISO in India beginning from the end of this month. The deal will allow the Japanese brand to reach out to 2GUD’s customer base of over a million-plus across the country.

MINISO India plans to introduce its merchandise in the country ranging from consumer and household goods as well as few non-durables through the 2GUD platform, with a primary strategy of launching with over 60 curated products and further scaling up the product selection during next few months.

The tie-up will enable MINISO to expand its reach well beyond its current brick-and-mortar stores, across Tier-2 as well as Tier-3 cities, where a rising demand for global products is seen.

This deal further highlights the Flipkart’s commitment to deliver greater deals during the festive season. In fact, this is the e-commerce company’s second partnership within past few weeks. In August, Flipkart inked a partnership deal with Authentic Brands to market the Nautica fashion brand across the country.

Head of 2GUD, Chanakya Gupta stated that 2GUD serves customers who are hyper-value-conscious beyond Tier-1 cities and metros. Chanakya further added that the 2GUD customer base is spread across more than 3000 cities in India with people seeking the most value without compromising on quality, and products of MINISO fit that proposition accurately. The company is thrilled about the future of the collaboration and it will continue to operate with MINISO to offer the best value and style proposition to its customers.

According to reports, any financial details pertaining to the MINISO partnership have not been unveiled yet.
