Vietnam’s FPT Software recently announced to have partnered with Industrial Growth Platform Pte. Ltd. (IGPI Singapore) to boost digital transformation (DX) for governments, institutions, corporates, and other relevant organizations in Southeast Asia.
FPT Software and IGPI Singapore, under the partnership, will now work together to develop a digital platform for Japanese companies to invest and promote industrial reform in ASEAN. Through this platform, investors will support and help member companies in achieving their growth and market expansion objectives.
Kohki Sakata, CEO of IGPI Singapore, mentioned that they are thrilled to partner with the largest technology firm in Vietnam. He added that there is considerable variation in services for the middle class, in Southeast Asia, and local industries are divided with too many players which affect business efficiencies and causes inconstancies in the quality of products and services.
Sakata further said that they believe that with FPT Software, they can create a unique and successful DX platform to tackle those issues.
In this context, FPT Software will provide invaluable contribution in terms of insights related to Vietnam’s market, local connections as well as ins and outs of digital transformation for achieving this vision. Whereas, IGPI Singapore will help major companies in Japan and Southeast Asia with its knowledge regarding business revitalization and industry transformation.
Nguyen Huu Long, CEO of FPT Consulting Japan, mentioned that they are happy to have collaborated with IGPI in this program. He added that as one of the major IT firms in Southeast Asia, they have the understanding of the local market, the technical expertise, as well as digital capabilities to assist in achieving the goals of this partnership.
He also expressed that they believe that the cooperation with IGPI Singapore could enable them in providing different values to the regional business landscape.
In 2019, FPT Software decided to shift its focus towards digital transformation around two decades after leading Southeast Asia in IT services. FPT Software is set to be on the list of the world’s Top 50 providers of digital transformation services by 2030.
