A booming middle-class population in China along with changing consumer outlook towards heathy lifestyle indicates immense potential for the organic market in the region to grow. Analysts claim that China’s middle class will account for more than one-third of its population by 2030 which will open up great new opportunities for digital shopping platform developers.

The country’s blockchain technology is already dominating the global market. Online shopping platform designers are exploring ways to incorporate the technology to provide novel and innovative solutions to customers.

IMS Digital Ventures, a venture capital subsidiary of the HongKong-based Integrated Management Systems (IMS), recently unveiled a social and content platform in China called OrgHive that will seemingly allow consumers to make a right purchasing-decision and differentiate between authentic organic products through real-time database authentication using blockchain technology.

Apparently, the inability of consumers to distinguish between authentic organic products and lack of objective information on the benefits of these products has proved to be a challenge for brands conducting business in China.

OrgHive’s comprehensive AI algorithm evidently allows brands to efficiently target, engage, and convert audiences. Increased transparency and effective marketing will further enable brands to penetrate the Chinese market.

In addition to verifying the authenticity of organic products, the platform will supposedly enable users to post reviews, share content, follow brands, and build their followers.

Sources with relevant information reported that the platform will provide companies with direct access to users through appropriate and careful interaction. Brands looking to join the platform can create their own microsite from which they can grow their following, send push notifications, and drive consumers to e-commerce platforms.

The platform provides a unique and exciting opportunity to foster the future of the Chinese organic market, mentioned CEO Anastasios Papadopoulos, adding that the platform will offer brands an effective and transparent to reach and engage customers on a highly opaque and digital landscape.

By delivering detailed insights to brands based on platform analytics and user behavior, the company is transforming China’s smart shopping landscape, noted Papadopoulos.
