Individual FoodSerivce and Brady Industries merge for better reach

Individual FoodService (IFS), a California-based distributor of food service disposables as well as JanSan (janitorial and sanitation) products company, is reportedly planning to join forces with Brady Industries, another known cleaning and food service items provider.

The partnership will allow IFS and Brady Industries to emerge as the most balanced providers of JanSan products as well as foodservice disposables, cited sources with relevant information. It is worth mentioning that IFS is a portfolio company of American private equity investment firm Kelso & Co.

IFS and Brady’s collaboration will also ensure better scalability as well as allow the two companies offer a comprehensive product portfolio to their customers. Apart from this, the partnership will ensure a vast distribution footprint with over 38 combined facilities while offering better leadership talent as well as depth.

The revenues generated during the joint venture will be divided equally across the two product portfolios. Sources further confirmed that Travis Brady, the President of Brady Industries, will work at a senior role at IFS while maintaining his current position.

In this context, Travis was quoted saying that the partnership will boost Brady Industries’ growth by combining their resources as well as expertise. The partnership also reflects on Brady’s 73-year legacy and subsequently offer lucrative opportunities for the company’s expansion, he added.

Chairman and CEO at IFS Kenneth Sweder was reported saying that the company is looking forward to working with Travis to offer best of IFS’s as well as Brady Industries’ product offerings to their vast clientele.

Managing Director at Kelso, Sandy Osborne claimed that the recent development serves as a revolutionary step for the two companies in becoming a major distributor in foodservice disposables and JanSan products across the United States.

The transaction will be reinforced through additional equity funding from IFS stakeholders, which would be led by Kelso & Co.
