Infosys to boost digital transformation by introducing an AI platform

Indian multinational IT company Infosys Limited has reportedly been making headways in digital exponential technologies, primarily in AI (Artificial Intelligence). Shifting from its conventional IT solutions, the tech giant has significantly expanded its cloud-based solutions portfolio amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to reliable sources, the company has developed a central AI platform that will be constantly updated for the latest technologies, further enabling business clients to continuously reinvent their systems. The apparent platform will empower organizations to discover prospects, make their project development cycles as well as AI framework, and test and deploy software.

Infosys’ new solutions and applications will also be built on the AI platform which will be modularized and facilitate easy integration of the products for multiple purposes. Moreover, the company has developed a cognitive automation studio with more than 1000 reusable assets. The studio hosts more than 30 platforms for numerous requirements and is centrally curated. 

The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic has significantly bolstered the adoption of AI-based technologies, primarily solutions such as contract tracing and digital detection of symptoms, cited technological experts. The outbreak has impelled the demand for technology in the healthcare sector, mainly for assistance while establishing smart and safe workplaces.

Senior VP and Service Offering Head of Energy, Communications, Services, and AI & Automation Services at Infosys, Balakrishna DR, was reported saying that the company’s core objective is to enhance the adoption of AI technologies by making its integration and usage less complicated.

Furthermore, Infosys is planning on using the escalating demand for AI technologies for digital transformation even in the post-Covid period. The company’s AI application reach will reportedly include a wide variety of solutions such as quality analysis in manufacturing facilities using robot arms and drone-based safety assessment of smart cities.
