Virtual learning platform Engageli has recently announced a strategic partnership with Australian institute Macquarie University to deliver top-quality, flexible learning environments for students.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic forced universities to shift to remote learning. In such a scenario, Macquarie University International College sought a compelling approach to interact with students studying abroad, assess, and understand class engagement.

After using traditional video conferencing platforms to educate online, the team at Macquarie University International College decided on Engageli.

Dr. Pamela Humphreys, Director of Macquarie University, expressed that they chose Engageli as it closely imitates the classroom experience, has built-in polling functionality, and enables students to add screenshots of teachings to personal notes.

It is worth noting that Engageli, established in 2020, has raised over USD 47 million to date. It offers cloud-based, multimodal digital learning technology for superior learning experiences that are engaging, adaptable, collaborative, inclusive, and secure.

Macquarie University International College will use the Engageli platform in various classes, including Introduction to Engineering and Critical Thinking. The College, through this partnership, would serve students in Australia and abroad with diverse learning environments that adapt to their requirements, whether in-person or virtual.

Dan Avida, Co-Founder, and CEO of Engageli mentioned that witnessing how Engageli is helping Macquarie University access new models and possibilities of learning amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis has been very rewarding. They believe the continued collaboration with this world-class university to create flexible learning environments will benefit education not just today, but also in the future, he added.

The International College, via its pathway college, will leverage the virtual classroom technology for the benefit of its students at the diploma level. The distinctive features of Engageli, such as adjustable table seating arrangements, will drive engagement and peer-led learning, ensuring that students interact throughout a class.

The collaboration would bring flexibility for students and faculty, especially amid uncertainty and changing health and safety guidelines as the pandemic prolongs.
