Marqeta announces new collaboration with cloud banking provider Mambu

Marqeta, a global platform that issues modern cards, has recently announced that it will be partnering with Mambu, a renowned provider of cloud banking services. The partnership will offer the customers of Mambu access to the card processing technology by Marqeta as it will bring together two companies with commitments towards delivering control and transparency through APIs and provide speed to market by handling the control to the customers for the development process.

The cloud banking platform by Mambu is widely used by banking pioneers such as OakNorth, ABN AMRO’s New10 and N26. It helps the customers create a highly configurable core platform permitting them to easily join the pre-selected range of partners who are best-for-purpose. This kind of approach usually lets a firm take step back on integration resources and development to be able to focus on their specialization; creating a smart customer proposition and then marketing it.

The ethos of Mambu strongly resonates with Marqeta as its platform for modern card issuing places all the customers in control by offering access to more than 280 APIs both on its website and open sandbox environment. Customers will be able to experience Marqeta’s processing platform by having signed up to the sandbox in moments and further building and testing the functionality of the card.

Marqeta’s Head of European growth, Ian Johnson commented that Mambu has been providing a world-class platform that addresses key challenges on how to constantly deliver as well as accelerate innovation within the payment space without having to continually be restrained by technology.

Johnson further stated that there has been a firm alignment between both the organizations in terms of both product vision and culture. The company is looking forward to their joint proposition and the major benefits that may result from it.

Mambu’s Chief Technology & Product Officer, Ben Goldin said that the company is looking forward to Marqeta joining them as a valuable partner as it allows customers to drive innovation with the help of a card product portfolio.
