Medscape Education to sponsor Metabolic and Endocrine Disease Summit

Medscape Education, a leading provider of educational programs for healthcare professions, is reportedly planning to sponsor the Metabolic and Endocrine Disease Summit (MEDS) which will focus on crucial issues in the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine and metabolic diseases.

According to reliable sources, recent developments in the healthcare field will be discussed to aid clinicians in enhancing patient outcomes.

The conference, which will be hosted on MedscapeLIVE! platform, will provide networking opportunities to the participants through a virtual lounge which will enable them to have discussions with peers, present case studies & oral abstracts, and challenge them to test their knowledge.

Scott Urquhart, Adjunct Clinical Professor and former President of the American Society of Endocrine Physician Assistants will be the chairperson of the MEDS Summit, cited sources with relevant information.

A faculty of physician assistants and nurse practitioners from major institutes will join him in the three sessions on trending topics, especially about diabetes, cardiovascular risk reduction, and endocrinology.

All the proceeds collected during registration will be donated to Taking Control of Your Diabetes and the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES).

For the record, the ADCES aims to enhance cardiometabolic, diabetes, and prediabetes care through management, innovative education, and support. It currently has 12,000 professional members, including dietitians, nurses, pharmacists, and other practitioners.

Chairperson of the Summit, Scott Urquhart was quoted saying that the virtual conference will be a great forum for educators and clinicians to convene about recent developments in the endocrine and metabolic care field. He further added that it is a great opportunity for participants to learn and network with faculty and peers across the United States as well.

The Metabolic and Endocrine Disease Summit will be held virtually from July 28 to July 30, 2021.
