Microsoft launches Dynamics 365 Business Central to boost Indian SMBs
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a cloud-based, end-to-end business management solution.
  • The platform allows for on-the-go management of sales, operations, finance, and customer service.

Microsoft recently rolled out Dynamics 365 Business Central, a business management solution targeted at small and medium-sized businesses.

The company said that the solution aids in the automation and streamlining of business processes such as manufacturing, shipping, finance, sales, project management, and services. Users can manage their businesses using the solution from any mobile device.

Tailored for India, it comes with a tax engine with over 500 pre-configured uses and business scenarios for Tax Collected at Source (TCS), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), Goods and Services Tax (GST), sources cited.

With Dynamics 365 Business Central, users can take advantage of its productivity-enhancing features like insights, dashboards, communicating with people, and interoperability with other services of Microsoft like Microsoft Teams and 365.

The tech giant also stated that it is assisting businesses transition from Dynamics NAV to Dynamics 365 Business Central by providing custom configuration packages. SMBs can also update their current data to the latest management solution thanks to the streamlined procedure.

Rajiv Sodhi, COO at Microsoft India, expressed that they want to empower the country’s SMB ecosystem through the Dynamics 365 Business Central. The solution provides clients with low-cost, easy-to-use resources that streamline and simplify daily business processes, he added.

Sources familiar with the matter cited that an unconnected collection of on-premises ERP systems, manual upgrading and scaling existing ERP tools, and lack of data security are a few of SMBs' major concerns. Dynamics 365 Business Central aims to solve these issues with expanded analytics, the latest modular applications, and technical enhancements based on Microsoft's stable and hybrid Azure platform.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is now available through CSPs (Cloud Solution Providers) in India, confirmed sources.
