PepsiCo Inc., an American multinational food and beverage corporation, has reportedly introduced a new product line, Frutly, which is basically a hydrating juice water, specially designed for youngsters.

The new entrant to PepsiCo’s juice category, comprises fruit juice, water, and electrolytes in order to offer appetizing hydration while being a rich source of vitamins E and C.

Sources close to the company stated that the intention behind creating Frutly was to fill the gap among juice brands, reviving the category by fulfilling the desires of both parents and teens, and providing more nutritious beverage options without added artificial sweeteners or sugar.

It is worth mentioning that 56% of the population blame poor nutritional factors such as artificial sweeteners, calories, and sugar for pushing them away from the ambient juice category.

Anup Shah, Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President, PepsiCo Beverages North America, mentioned that the company understands that parents keep their pantries filled with products that they believe are good for their families but also liked by youngsters.

He further added that PepsiCo’s Frutly is well-positioned to serve as a nutritious and delicious option, as it is hydrating and shelf-stable, and can be agreed on by both parents and teens.

Frutly comes in three flavors namely, Apple Grape, Fruit Punch, and Strawberry Kiwi, with 60 calories per 12-fluidounce serving. It is available on grocery store shelves in single flavor four-packs across the nation.
