Schivo acquires medical equipment supplier Supreme Screw Products

A renowned OEM contract manufacturing partner Schivo has reportedly acquired New York-based Supreme Screw Products, Inc. (SSP), a leading supplier of the precision machine, laser processing, and assembly services for the medical device market.

Sources with knowledge of the matter stated that this acquisition would reinforce the growth and production footprint of Schivo, boost its technological capabilities and deepen the customer relationship. In Plainview, New York, SSP's two manufacturing plants will expand Schivo's footprint in Ireland.

SSP, which was established in 1963, has observed steady growth and specializes in offering innovative technical solutions to complex client requirements, and deep-seated attention to prompt service and customer experience.

Graham Reeves, CEO at Schivo, mentioned that both the companies have a similar working culture and share a passion for serving clients with pioneering technology paired with excellent quality and service. He further added that the recent investment in an impressive 2,787 square meter building underlines the devotion of SSP to its workers and customers and is a perfect location to fulfill Schivo’s growing business needs.

Misha Migdal, President, and CEO, SSP, reportedly stated that this union extends its capacity to supply revolutionary medical OEMs around the world with advanced precision components and assemblies. She further added that Schivo and SSP together have unprecedented capabilities in the supply chain for a medical device.

Credible sources cited that by incorporating micro-machining, laser processing, and assembly technologies, SSP will contribute to Schivo's advanced capabilities for minimally invasive surgery and life sciences sectors. As a result, customers would have the benefit of collaborating with a single established supplier, providing a wider variety of solutions that can satisfy their global and local requirements.
