Sony creates signup page for customers to pre-order PlayStation 5

Sony, a multinational conglomerate corporation, has reportedly opened a signup page for customers to pre-order its highly anticipated PlayStation 5.

As per reliable sources, the existing customers can make the pre-order reservation through the signup page, where the company will select them on the first-come, first-served basis. There is a limited number of PS5 consoles available for customers to pre-order. Therefore, the company is planning to send invites to its existing customers to obtain these consoles. The product will be initially shipped to customers in the United States.

The selection process is based on the previous interests & PlayStation activities. According to this PS5 pre-order FAQ page, customers will be notified of the selected people by the company via an email. The product console is anticipated to be released in 2020.

However, the exact release date as well as the price of the PS5 consoles have not yet been revealed by Sony. Additionally, the company has not announced the pre-order date of the product.

Sony declined to immediately respond to requests for comments on the recent announcement.

In June 2020, the company virtually showcased the new PS5 console at the Future of Gaming event. This next-generation console will come in 2 versions, i.e. standard model with Blu-ray drive and Digital Edition machine. This machine completely relies on streaming and downloads.

Additionally, GameSpot has reportedly announced that the new PlayStation 5 is using a solid-state drive, unlike the hard drive like that of the previous PlayStations. The PS5 game-discs will also support a capacity of over 100-GB.

A teaser of the upcoming PlayStation 5 that was previously released by Sony highlights the immersive elements of next-generation gaming, including 3D audio, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback. Through haptic feedback, players can feel various textures in games. On the other hand, the adaptive trigger will help developers create physical resistance in some cases.
