Tork launches biobased fabric to support companies’ sustainable goals

Tork, an Essity brand, has launched a new biobased heavy-duty cleaning cloth to assist companies in meeting sustainability goals and strengthen their businesses with better productivity through sustainable hygiene management.

The cloth is composed of 99% biobased fibers, that are plant-based and are sustainably sourced, enabling customers to benefit from better absorption, linting, durability, and solvent consumption while simultaneously reducing their environmental impact.

As per a 2020 international survey by Essity, sustainability will only gain more importance for businesses in the future. Therefore, Tork continues to upgrade its product range and make them more sustainable with better packaging.

The packaging process at Tork now uses around 30% recycled plastics and 100% recycled cardboard fibers. It is also reducing the environmental impact of products like exelCLEAN cloths by lowering its carbon footprint by 28% over the last decade.

Along with its sustainability efforts, Tork has put forward upgrades for efficient dispensing. Tork Cleaning Cloths are now interfolded for faster & easier access and one at a time dispensing, meaning customers only touch what they take, which in turn reduces waste and cross-contamination.

Sustainability will continue to be an important factor in customer choices. With constant innovation in the fields of design and packaging, Tork hygiene products address this need by increasing efficiency and delivering greater sustainability without compromising on the performance standards.

The brand offers professional hygiene products as well as services to customers across the world, ranging from healthcare facilities and restaurants to schools, offices, and industries. Their product range comprises dispensers, toilet tissue, paper towels, soap, wipers, napkins, along with software solutions for data-driven cleaning.

With expertise in hygiene, sustainability, and functional design, Tork has become a prominent market player that supports its customers in making their businesses future-ready. It is a trusted partner to customers in more than 110 countries.
