VMware, a publicly traded software company, has recently launched the Partner Connect, which is a new, dramatically simplified and flexible partner program. The new VMware partner program will feature multi-program integration of the VeloCloud partner program as well as the company’s recent acquisitions, Pivotal and Carbon Black. Additionally, the new program will take various changes in the customer buying behaviors and industries into consideration, to support the emerging business models of partners.

The new program has been designed to enable its 75,000+ channel partners across the globe to form a business collaboration with VMware under a unified single contract. Through this, VMware can develop a framework that aligns with the business models of partners. It will enhance the experiences of partners in delivering choice, simplicity, and innovation, as well as reward and recognize them based on the value they offer to customers.

A wide number of partners have been labelled as Principal Partners after the official launch of the program. Principal Partners can avail opportunities such as winning various incentives and rewards with their master service competencies as well as prioritizing co-selling and joint business planning with the vendors.

According to Jenni Flinders, Global Channel Chief of VMware, the new program highlights the company’s dedication to its partners, by deliver seamless customer experience and building confidence by digitally transforming their business. She further added that Partner Connect will help create a sophisticated partner ecosystem as it continues to evolve and grow.

In 2019, VMware had designed a new platform to manage development funds, with an aim to integrate it with their new Digital Partner Connect portal. Through this, partners can track business activities via improved visibility and enhanced dashboards. The program also includes a “Learning Zone”, which contains a vast array of information, including customized learning plans for partners based on individual preferences, as well as enhanced overall partner experiences.
